What helps a student be successful in college?

Hello, my name is Cassandra Bell. I am 23 years old and have two daughters. I was born in New York, but grew up in Florida. I have a large family and family is important to me. I graduated high school in 2014, and this is my first semester of college. I am determined to be successful.

There are many ways for a college student to be successful. The most important strategy is you have to show up to class and commit to being successful. You have to be determined, and only you can determine your success. A college student must stay focused in every single way. Taking notes is an amazing strategy to do because it helps you remember what you're going to study. Communicating with your teacher is very important and you can never go wrong by asking a question or just being sure. The things that help me be successful as a student in college is being organized with my work. In order for me to be successful I found that I have to keep track of my progress to know I have completed an assignment. Being organized helps to plan ahead and not fall behind, which can cause one to be overwhelmed.  Using these strategies will help people be successful in college and even in everyday life.
